Life can feel heavy sometimes.
You might want to go out with friends, but the thought of it feels overwhelming. You might love your partner but feel stuck in the same arguments. You might be strong, capable, faithful, skeptical, hopeful, exhausted—or all of the above.

At The Cozy Couch Counseling, you can come as you are—messy thoughts, nervous laughter, questions, doubts, faith, or none at all. This is a space rooted in compassion and real conversation.

No judgment. No pressure to be “fixed.” Just room to be honest.

Whether you’re exploring individual counseling, strengthening your relationship, figuring out what you believe,  or a Christian who loves God and drops a few curse words, you’re welcome here.

And when you’re ready… there’s a place for you to sit on the couch.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get started? What’s the first step?

We begin with a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if we’re a good fit and to answer any initial questions. If we decide to move forward, your first full session will be an intake appointment.

During the intake, I’ll ask questions to understand your concerns, history, and goals. Together, we’ll create a treatment plan that feels meaningful, realistic, and supportive of your growth.

What can I expect from ongoing sessions?

We’ll start with a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if we’re a good fit and to answer any initial questions you may have.

If we decide to move forward, our first session will be an intake appointment, which looks a little different from ongoing therapy. During this time, I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your story, your needs, and what you’re hoping to gain from counseling. Together, we’ll identify goals and create a treatment plan that feels realistic, supportive, and aligned with what matters most to you.

Ongoing sessions are collaborative and client-centered. My role is to guide the process and support progress, while empowering you to take an active role in your healing. Many clients describe sessions as feeling safe, comfortable, and conversational — a space where you can show up honestly and feel supported.
